    金砖四国

    金砖四国这个名词已经不算新词了，所指为巴西、俄罗斯、印度和中国这四个最大的发展中国家，因为这四个国名英文首字母缩写分别为B、R、I、C，恰好可组成brick这个词。这四个国家地大物博，人口众多，发展迅速，想来称为“金砖”也还算恰当，更何况汉语里有“女大三，抱金砖”的俗语，我也想当然的认为金砖这个词在英语里还是褒义的。不过前两天偶然发现英语里的gold-brick并不是我望文生义的理解，这才发现被西方人称为“金砖”不是什么好头衔。下面是字典里的英文解释：
    1. A person, especially a soldier, who avoids assigned duties or work;
    2. a shirker. To shirk one's assigned duties or responsibilities.
    3. To cheat; swindle.
    4. a brick-shaped block that looks like gold but is not
    5. anything that is supposed to be valuable but turns out to be worthless
    联想到美国经常要求中国做一个负责任的国家，一切豁然。

    虽然英文的解释比较那个，但是翻译成中文的话，我个人感觉还是个好词。“明哲保身”，“识时务者为俊杰”，一直都是聪明的国家形象呀，没必要像某些超级大国那样天天喊着负责任，一到危机时刻就把祸水往别人身上泼。

    美国指责中国，其实大家都有问题。不过确实，现在中国太多人，从从小的教育（广义的）里面，就缺乏对信用和责任的一种注重，一种尊重。
